Cultural Resources Director

The Cultural Resources Director will provide the full range of supervisory and administrative duties in support of the Cultural and Natural Resources and Environmental programs within the Tribe. The director will effectively advise, direct, support, and manage multiple programs that fall under the Cultural Resources Department consistent with the established goals, objectives, and policies for these programs, including the implementation of the Cultural Resources Strategic Plan Goals and Objectives for the BIA, the Cultural Resources, Natural Resources, EPA Tribal Environmental, Climate Adaptation Plans and all other Agreements and Grant Programs. The director is responsible for implementing these programs to ensure the attainment of the Department and overall KIC Organizational Goals to meet the Cultural Resources needs of the Ketchikan Indian Community under the guidance of the Deputy Tribal Administrator and the KIC Tribal Council.
Supervises all Cultural Resources Department staff, including evaluation, direction, and discipline/reward. Serves as a vital member of the KIC management team.
