European Green Crab Workshop
April 20-23 / Ketchikan / Metlakatla Indian Community and Native American Fish and Wildlife Society
This is a 4 day, in-person workshop for European Green Crab detection and management for Alaskan Tribes and communities, in collaboration with SEATOR (Southeast Alaska Tribal Ocean Research). The workshop is focused on training coastal Tribes the principles, techniques and strategies on early detection and rapid response of invading European Green Crab, and controls for the species. The training will include classroom sessions and a day trip to Metlakatla Indian Community where we will be participating in trapping, identifying and surveying for European Green Crab.
