Community: Metlakatla
Metlakatla sits on the southwestern tip of Annette Island as the only federally recognized Indian reservation in Alaska. Home to the Tsimshian people, the community traces its roots back to the 1800s. Today, Metlakatla Indian Community governs its own lands, fisheries, and tends its future.
