Community: Ketchikan

Ketchikan is a town of roughly 8,000 people that sits on Revillagigedo Island, serving as Southeast Alaska’s first port of call for both goods and travelers flowing into the region. This is Taanta’ Ḵwáan Territory. Ketchikan carries one of the world’s highest concentrations of standing totem poles, a living testament to the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian artistry and ancestry that has shaped it.
