We are inclusive and represent diverse perspectives, skills and experiences.

The Sustainable Southeast Partnership (SSP) includes international, regional and community-based organizations, tribal governments, land managers, entrepreneurs, native corporations, passionate individuals, and experts in food sovereignty, land management, local business, energy systems, storytelling and more.

Participating members of the network, who we call ‘catalysts’, engage in SSP as an individual and/or as a representative of a partner organization.

Catalysts, spread across Southeast Alaska, are ambassadors for our shared values and mission. They are compassionate change-makers who connect resources, people, ideas and networks.

We meet monthly online and in-person twice a year to forge relationships with each other, share resources, and catalyze and collaborate on projects that bring us closer to our goal of a culturally, ecologically and economically prosperous Southeast Alaska.

SSP has grown into a powerful network driven by shared values and our people + place based mission. Spruce Root, which is an Indigenous-led Community Development Financial Institution, provides coordination support for the SSP.

  • Our Partners

Over the last decade, the Sustainable Southeast Partnership has grown from a small cluster of participating organizations to a large network of committed partners.

    An Inclusive Collaboration

Our partnership is about more than formal partners. Individuals, entrepreneurs, teachers, municipalities, high school students, aunties, culture bearers, independent contractors, storytellers and more, are always encouraged to work with us to build a more equitable and resilient Southeast.
